I didn't know what I was looking for, yet I searched far and wide. I looked everywhere and could not find it. I went further than I ever thought I could go and still it wasn't there. And in a sweet surrender, I realized that it wasn't in anything, anywhere or anyone. What I needed most was in me all along. And that journey brought me back to myself and to a sense of wholeness that has never left me. 

This painting portrays that journey back, a way of finding peace and belonging in ourselves.
